Educational activity “Let’s get to know amber through the senses”
This activity allows us to get to know amber in all its forms and learn about its history. What does amber tell us about its history? Is amber lighter than stone? Does it sink in water? What does amber smell like when it burns? These and other questions are answered through the five senses: sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste.
Educational activity “From amber forest to multicoloured mosaic”
You will create a mosaic-miniature using the tools prepared by the Palanga Amber Museum as if from the “amber forest” – pine bark, lichen, smooth sticks and small pieces of amber. Participants freely improvise by combining amber with other natural materials brought to France from Lithuania.
