18th festival “Inconvenient Films”

8–27 October 2024

The 18th festival “Inconvenient Films” will take place in several cities across Lithuania, including Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, and Šiauliai. This year’s festival will feature an impressive lineup of over 50 films, as well as a dynamic programme of meetings with filmmakers, discussions, exhibitions, and unique experiential screenings.

A special highlight of the festival is the NK-INTERACTIVE exhibition, which will be held at the Radvila Palace Museum of Art of the LNMA from 17–27 October. This interactive augmented reality exhibition will showcase not only virtual reality films but also XR (extended reality) formats like games, video installations, and various interactive experiences.

With nine distinct works, the exhibition promises to take visitors on a deep dive into human consciousness and explore the boundaries of perception through innovative technology and bold visions of future scenarios. It’s a chance for audiences to immerse themselves in cutting-edge media, pushing creative and sensory boundaries.
